Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. gave a speech to the residence of the Valley in Canoga's Assembly Hall on Sunday, January 15, 1961. The Woodland Hill Community Church sponsored his visit where he spoke in the morning, and then the Assembly Hall in the evening. To hear excerpts of the speech, click here.

The Canoga Park Hunters won the 4A City Championship for football on 12-14-1968. They defeated Polytechnic High School, 34-27. Bob Adams scored 5 TD's.
