September gives us a meaningful opportunity to reflect, celebrate, and support our community in important ways. During National Hispanic Heritage Month, we honor the rich histories, cultures, and contributions of Hispanic Americans who have helped shape our shared story. At the same time, Suicide Prevention Month reminds us how vital it is to care for one another’s mental well-being, promote open conversations, and connect people to help and hope. Finally, Attendance Awareness Month calls attention to the importance of showing up — in class, in community, and for ourselves — because every day counts. Together, these observances encourage us to celebrate culture, support mental health, and prioritize being present.
