Chanchito
On my high school farm, there was an animal that stole my need to look for something else, it stole my attention in a single moment, this animal was a pig called Boba. The place where he lives, I could tell was not recent, the cobwebs on the fences told me before I even wanted to ask, the paint that looked damp and the smell of animal waste told me how long he had been there, a long time. The reason why I did not have time to even consider seeing another animal apart from Boba was because his area is very close to the entrance of the farm, surrounded by trees of various heights, some more recent, others older, of different colors and species. The day I saw it I couldn't last long with the jacket on and I couldn't keep my eyes wide open to appreciate everything. The sun shone very brightly and heated everything around me, as if I were in a box that is continually pointed with the light of a very powerful lamp. Boba didn't stop making noise, he seemed fascinated by the taste of what he was eating even if it was just hay, he looked like a very calm animal but that is something I can't decide just by watching him eat and walk around. After spending most of the time analyzing him and becoming more and more alone because everyone thought he "stinked", I decided to approach him and touch his skin, realizing that his hair, which seemed soft and docile, is actually hard and rigid, as if instead of hair he were a file that you could scratch yourself with if you ran your hand carelessly, but in contrast to strong skin and hair, his personality was docile like a baby, he remained lying down, in a still and docile manner , full of peace.
The Farm
The Farm, the greatest place in Canoga Park High School. Where you can find something other than books and pencils. Walking to the farm, passing the bridge, a pleasant scene greets you. Even though it's the Los Angeles river with sewage water, It's still nice to see something other than the jail bars of the school windows. When you walk towards the farm you see pumpkins and dead grass. You're slapped with a pungent smell of animal feces. Walking more into the farm, You Finally see something. A pig, a fat big pig laying on the ground. Each step you take you feel the dry grass cracking on your shoes as if you're walking on pasta. Deeper into the farm you finally see the best animals, the goats and llamas. The most chillest animals. The goats' loud munching and high pitched bleaking fills your ears. The goats are just like me, The GOAT. When I was sitting on the old rough table I got to thinking, I feel bad for the animals. They are trapped like they are prisoners. The goats are just like me at school, Locked up and unable to leave.
The Joyful Baby Pigs
The farm in the school is a special place with beautiful and interesting animals, the smells that surround the area are exquisitely strong, the little pigs area is airy and has a nice view of the green field with the trees and the river. The pigs lay in their comfy cage with blankets and the feel of their skin is like a smooth firm eraser, the air is fresh, but can taste some dirt and the smell of hay with first mixed while the bird in the back chirp and chickens walk and their feet make sounds while the pig's snout scrunches and jump to reach the feel of my hand and they are a ray of sunshine and bring smiles to peoples faces. As I wait for my turn to feel the pigs skin with hair, I feel the cold cement wall that surrounds them and protects them.
Animal Farm
The farm at Canoga Park high school is filled with animals, vegetation, and wondrous smells and experiences. The unusual air that surrounds the area contains smells of beautiful flowers, and trees to more of an awful stench which would be the animals and their waste, to the strong aroma of dirt and soil, all these smells fill the area and you can even taste these smells at certain times. The scenery of the farm consists of the flowers, and vegetation to the animals and their captiities. You can watch the animals interact with each other and you. The animals kept and nurtured at the farm are chickens, very few but very big pigs, there are alpacas, and even a few goats. When at the farm you can touch the animals that have all different textures and responses because each animal has their own personality. The pigs have a very rough skin that's as hard as rocks. The alpacas have a fluffy and more soothing fur, while the goats have a more protective coat of fur. All of this makes an amazing experience for the people who visit. The sounds that fill the farm are loud and you can hear them from far. The birds chirping, the wind blowing, the chickens howling, and the alpacas and rams roaring, makes for a wondrous zoo-like experience.
